Mapping of Two New Rust Resistance Genes Uvf-2 and Uvf-3 in Faba Bean

چکیده

Faba bean is gaining attention in Australia as a rotation grain legume where most of the country’s produce exported. Rust, caused by Uromyces viciae-fabae, major constraint to production eastern and its chemical control results increased cost production. The deployment diverse sources resistance new cultivars underpins economic eco-friendly rust diseases crops. A selection from cultivar Doza (Doza#12034) European accession Ac1655 exhibited seedling against U. viciae-fabae pathotype 24–40. Doza#12034 were crossed with susceptible genotype Fiord recombinant inbred line (RIL) F6 populations generated. Rust tests on Fiord/Doza#12034 Fiord/Ac1655 F4 demonstrated monogenic inheritance both crosses underlying loci named Uvf-2 Uvf-3, respectively. Genetic mapping RIL located Uvf-3 chromosomes III V, SNPs that showed linkage converted into kompititive allele specific PCR (KASP) assays. Markers KASP_Vf_0703 KASP_C250539 flanked at 4.9 cM 2.9 distances, whereas was KASP_Ac×F165 (2.5 cM) KASP_vf_1090 (10.1 cM). can be used for marker-assisted respectively, after confirming parental polymorphisms.

Fine mapping of Ur - 3 , a historically important rust resistance locus in 1 common bean

63 Bean rust is a devastating disease of common bean in the Americas and Africa. The historically 64 important Ur-3 gene confers resistance to many races of the highly variable bean rust pathogen 65 that overcome all known rust resistance genes. Existing molecular markers tagging Ur-3 for use 66 in marker assisted selection produce false results. We described here the fine mapping of Ur-3 67 fo...

Fine Mapping of Ur-3, a Historically Important Rust Resistance Locus in Common Bean

Bean rust, caused by Uromyces appendiculatus, is a devastating disease of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) in the Americas and Africa. The historically important Ur-3 gene confers resistance to many races of the highly variable bean rust pathogen that overcome other rust resistance genes. Existing molecular markers tagging Ur-3 for use in marker-assisted selection produce false results. Here, w...

Characterization of Resistance Mechanisms in Faba Bean (Vicia faba) against Broomrape Species (Orobanche and Phelipanche spp.)

Faba bean (Vicia faba) production in Mediterranean and Near East agriculture is severely constrained by broomrape infection. The most widely distributed broomrape species affecting faba bean is Orobanche crenata, although O. foetida and Phelipanche aegyptiaca are of local importance. Only moderately resistant cultivars are available to farmers. Rizotrons studies allowed the dissection of resist...

TWO NEW RUST SPECIES (UREDINALES) FROM IRAN

Two rust fungi from Iran are described as new species, viz. Puccinia hedjaroudei on Scutellaria multicaulis (Lamiaceae) and Phragmidium gorganense on Rubus caesius (Rosaceae). A key to the species of Phragmidium on Rubus spp. in Iran is also provided. All holotypes are preserved in the fungus reference collection of the Ministry of Jihad-e Agriculture (IRAN), located in Department of Botany of ...

Uvf - Unified Volume Format: A General System for Efficient Handling of Large Volumetric Datasets.

With the continual increase in computing power, volumetric datasets with sizes ranging from only a few megabytes to petascale are generated thousands of times per day. Such data may come from an ordinary source such as simple everyday medical imaging procedures, while larger datasets may be generated from cluster-based scientific simulations or measurements of large scale experiments. In comput...
